Frequently Asked Questions

You can find Podee at many local baby stores or from your closest distributor. Buy Podee.

The principal purpose of using the Podee is to help reduce colic and ear infections. This is accomplished when the baby uses the bottle in an upright or semi-upright position. Hence, it is best to use this bottle when the baby is able to sit in an upright or semi-upright position.

You can wash all parts with mild soap and warm water. The inside of the tubes can be cleaned with a tube cleaning brush.

We strongly recommend using nipples made by Podee. Other brand nipples are designed to work only with ordinary baby feeding bottles, while nipples made by Podee are designed to work only with Podee. Using teats/nipples other than the Podee brand may or may not work properly with the Podee Baby Bottle.

The new Podee baby bottle is made of BPA-Free material.

The Podee Baby Bottle is designed to allow feeding the baby in an upright position to help prevent the accumulation of gas in the baby’s stomach that can cause colic. Feeding a baby in a lying or horizontal position defeats the purpose of this system.

Troubleshooting

Make sure the bottom of the rubber nipple is sealed tightly between the adapter and the ring (collar) to prevent air from getting into the tube and rubber nipple. When these parts are not sealed properly, air will get into the tube and rubber nipple, which will cause a flowing problem. Also, make sure the short tube is connected to the bottom of the disk that goes on top of the bottle, otherwise, the system will not work.

It is common for latex nipples to swell slowly when they are in contact with some substance, like oily or fatty liquids. Normal acids found in a baby’s mouth can also make the latex nipple swollen. Swollen latex nipples will cause its material to be sticky, weak, and break easily. We strictly recommend that parents discontinue the use of the latex nipples when one of these signs is present. Replace the latex nipple frequently to avoid this problem.

The air vent in the feeding system is designed to prevent a vacuum effect inside the bottle when the baby drinks. The system will not function properly without this vent. When the bottle is laid on its side, the liquid will slowly make its way through this vent and thus cause the leakage. As much as possible, keep the bottle in a vertical position to prevent the bottle from leaking. You can also use the “Gimme-A-Hug” Bottle Holder (available at our retailers) to keep the bottle in a vertical position.

Cut at least 1/4" off the ends of the tube to make the connection tight again. Buy the replacement tubes when needed.
